Data Retention & Deletion Policy – Setuk
This Data Retention & Deletion Policy explains how Setuk (“Platform”) retains, manages, and deletes user data. By using Setuk, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.
1. Scope of Data
This policy applies to all data collected and processed on the platform, including:
- Personal information (name, contact details, designation)
- Sensitive operational data (constituency data, booth-level data, political and field data)
- Communication logs (messages, visitor records, interactions)
- System and analytics data (usage patterns, device information)
2. Data Retention During Active Use
Setuk retains user data for as long as the account remains active and the services are being used. This is necessary to provide uninterrupted platform functionality and operational continuity.
3. Retention After Cancellation or Deletion
Upon subscription cancellation or account deletion request:
- User data will be retained for a period of up to 60 days
- This period allows for account reactivation or operational continuity if required
- After this period, data may be permanently deleted

4. No Data Export
Setuk does not provide data export functionality prior to deletion. Users are responsible for managing any required data before initiating cancellation or deletion.
5. Legal Retention Requirements
Notwithstanding the above, Setuk may retain certain data for a longer duration if required to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal processes.
6. Data Deletion Process
After the retention period:
- Data is permanently deleted or irreversibly anonymized
- Deletion is carried out using reasonable technical measures to prevent recovery or unauthorized access
7. Limitations
While Setuk follows structured data deletion practices, residual data may remain in system logs or temporary storage for a limited duration as part of standard system operations.
8. Changes to Policy
Setuk reserves the right to modify this policy at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of such changes.
