Tripura is the last state in line for its new roll. Its SIR final roll isn't due until 23 December 2026.
That leaves campaigns with a choice. Work on the current roll now and redo it in January — or prepare everything now and switch the week the new roll lands. We support both. Files from the current roll are available today, and we convert the SIR final roll as soon as it's published.
Either way, the Tripura voter list in Excel comes as one workbook per constituency, one sheet per booth, every voter on one row, in Bengali, English and Hindi.
The phase three schedule for Tripura:
| Step | Date |
|---|---|
| Qualifying date | 1 October 2026 |
| Draft roll | 21 October 2026 |
| Final roll | 23 December 2026 |
What changes when it lands: deceased voters and duplicates come off, shifted voters leave their old booths, new 18-year-olds are added, and booths over 1,200 voters get split. If you're using today's roll, plan for a full refresh in January — and budget a day to re-map booth workers, not a week.
Tripura's roll is printed in Bengali. That works well for Bengali names. It works less well for Kokborok and other tribal names — Debbarma, Reang, Jamatia, Tripura, Halam — which are written in a script that wasn't built for them. The result: one name spelt several ways across booths, and OCR that struggles with the unusual letter combinations.
We keep each name in Bengali as printed, use one consistent English spelling per name across the file, and add Hindi for teams from outside the state. A person checks every booth against the official totals.

Kokborok and other tribal names are printed in Bengali script, which wasn't designed for them. We keep the Bengali as printed and use one consistent English spelling per name.
