Excel voter lists

Madhya Pradesh has 230 assembly seats. Try downloading them one booth at a time.

Each constituency's roll comes as a few hundred separate PDFs. Multiply that across the state and you're looking at tens of thousands of files of scanned Hindi text — none of it searchable. A state war room that wants to compare booths across Malwa, Mahakaushal, Bundelkhand and Chambal can't do it from that.

The Madhya Pradesh voter list in Excel turns the whole thing into data: one workbook per constituency, one sheet per booth, every voter on one row, in Hindi and English.

230 Seats Is a Lot of PDFs

Here's what a state-level team actually needs from a voter list:

  • booth sizes across every constituency, side by side
  • first-time voters in each district
  • the gender split, booth by booth
  • which booths were split or renumbered in the revision
  • one consistent format, so 230 files open the same way
  • something analysts can load into software without a week of cleanup
  • a Lok Sabha view, combining segments

Seven things. All of them take minutes from a sheet and are basically impossible from PDFs.

What SIR 2026 Changed

Madhya Pradesh was part of phase two of the Special Intensive Revision. Booth Level Officers went door to door from November 2025, and the final roll was published in February 2026.

Deceased, shifted and duplicate entries came off. New voters came on. Booth lists were tidied, and some polling stations were split. The roll MP voted on in 2023 doesn't line up booth for booth with the 2026 one — and the 2026 roll is the one heading into 2028.

47 Tribal Seats – More Than Any Other State

Forty-seven of MP's seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribe candidates — across Jhabua, Alirajpur, Dhar, Barwani, Mandla, Dindori, Shahdol and more. That's more ST seats than any other state in India.

In these constituencies, names written in Devanagari on the roll have no fixed English spelling. Bhuria or Bhuriya. Markam or Markaam. One person picks one consistent English form per name across the file, so your search finds everyone.
